Default Circa D-18 Red Spruce and Mahogany and a . . . . drum roll . . . Sound Port!

John just completed this D-18, and I thought I would post it because 1) it is cool on its own for eye candy purposes and 2) because it's the only Circa I recall ever seeing with a sound port. I love my Circa OM and imagine the red spruce on this guitar really kicks. John commented that the sound port really adds a lot of dimensionality to this guitar.

An interesting blend of styles 28 and 18 and a sound port on top of that. John's work is impeccable.............. very impressive.

Beautiful guitar--I'll bet that it's a sweet cannon! Thanks for sharing it...

Cool port! My Circa will be a blend of style 18 and 21 with some figured hog similar to that.

That guitar looks great, and I love the peg head veneer. I saw john at the Woodstock show but never got a chance to talk to him, I don't think he stuck around long. Maybe next near.

Love John's work and I have a slot coming up soon. I have a couple of guitars with sound ports , but I am definitely not digging the looks of that one. Maybe I can convince him to put one in my guitar that looks a little different.
