Just to echo the sentiments above. Michael is one of the true gentlemen of the business. (Must be because he's from Colorado!) ;-) His guitars reside in the most thought of portion of my bucket list.

I too echo the sentiments of both Michael and his guitars, and I am more than excited to start on an OM myself with him in the next few months.

Last year I had a super great time with him in Ft. Collins tapping on woods, learning about guitars and sipping on some good ol' Ft. Collins microbrews!

Thanks for posting this well deserved thread and especially the eye candy that comes with it.

This was the first Bashkin I played - at 2009 Healdsburg - and it left a very strong impression. What a powerful and toneful guitar! And a super cool inlay.

I enjoyed working with Michael on my commission. More then met my expectations and he stands by his work.

I'm a big fan, this is what I said on Michael's website:

Both of those inlays are Jimmi Wingert yes?

Edit: Never mind, I didn't read down far enough.

Michael's work is extraordinary and I have had the pleasure of playing his fine instruments at Swannanoa and Healdsburg over the years. If I had the coin, I would definitely consider him for a custom build. He is a fine craftsman and really great to work with.

And, yes to Jimmi Wingert's inlays! I have one on my custom Wingert and I couldn't be happier. She is also great to work with.

Best,
Jayne
