Harmony H1260, no one local willing to do a neck reset..
I have a Harmony Sovereign H1260 that is in need of a neck reset but local repair shops don't want the hassle of a neck reset. The one person that said they would do it quoted me a price that was cost prohibative for this guitar.
Does anyone know of a shop that might do this kind of work at a fair price? Preferrably in the western states, that would minimize shipping costs for me. Anyone out there with an H1260 had the saddle modified? I'm wondering what people have done to replace the straight across plastic saddle. Ideas welcome Last edited by downtime; 04-13-2011 at 02:26 PM. Reason: typo |

A lot of Harmony owners are also DIY-ers. You could always learn to do your own neck reset:
http://harmony.demont.net/kamikazie.php There is at least one luthier who loves revamping old Harmony guitars, but his name escapes me. He X-braces them, puts a new veneer on the headstock, and they turn out great. Edit: Here's the guy I was thinking of: http://www.guitarrepairindavis.com/?page_id=11
