Default strings on a CA Cargo

Hi all,

wondering what strings folks who own Cargos are using. I'd appreciate knowing.

thanks,

I am currently using D'Addario EJ-17 PB med. Sound great, not twangy, and tension is low due to short scale.

i prefer DR rare phosphor bronze on mine - it's got the RT finish, which didn't have as much high end as the gloss version and was even a little muddy. with the DR rares, it sounds more like the glossy ones, very nice indeed.

One more votes for mediums; lights are just too floppy with the short scale (for my taste). I've been using John Pearse PBs.

It's worth pointing out that my Cargo has the raw finish and is pretty bright. I would definitely not want to use D'Addario PBs on it, since I find them annoyingly bright (at least for the first week or so).

I'm thinking of switching from EXP17 to EJ17. I'm curious to know How often do you usually change strings on the Cargo?
