Default Martin Dealers..I see that the new Streetmaster OM’s are in...

I know most of you hate them. But dealers......how are they? Good out of the box set up? Tone?

Aren't they the same 15 style Martin's with a relic'd finish? I kinda like the way they look but I imagine the tone s the same unless I missed something...which is a good possibility!

Do you have to pay extra for a poor finish?

Found the perfect tuner upgrade for it. Waverley Reliced Nickel... $177

I like the worn look if it's done right.

I don't see it as a bad finish, just a different finish option. And it should sound exactly like any other new 000-15M, right (i.e., pretty darn good)?

Same setup, and tone as the standard models, but they do feel kind of neat, and look much cooler in person than in pictures.

As most of you know we order tons of custom shop 15 series guitars with 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing, if the custom shop ever allows me to use this finish, I would definitely order a run in 0, and 00 size. Speaking of which, why is there no 00-15 Streetmaster?

We picked up a few of these last week at Martin. They're pretty neat... maybe I'll try and record a video. The two we have right now are set up at 5/64" bass E 12th, and 3/32" bass E 12th, respectively... with room for adjustment.

The tuners on my new D-18 did that on their own after playing outdoor salt-air gigs 3 times a week for a couple of months.

I like the look too. I'm old and worn and scuffed so a shiny pristine guitar looks kinda silly with me. Looking forward to your demo. Please try to include some heavy strumming too if you don't mind.

My pleasure! My trusty Charmed Life CLT-75 is up to the task. I'm in a Clapton: Unplugged mood... we just sold a 000-28EC sunburst.

Thanks Maury! Just as I feared it sounds about perfect for what I do. Dangit!! Why can't I be rich instead of just extremely good looking????
