Billie Jean on New (old) Taylor
I got my kid a nice Taylor 812ce 12 from a nice member on the forum. Here's what we did with it. I played a $250 Ibanez bass with flatwound strings.

That was great! Loved the music, the singing, the photography, and got a good laugh at the ending. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent! Did she approve of dad doing that at the end?

Thanks guys. Scott, I believe it's every father's obligation to embarrass their daughters!

That's a special bond right there.
Nice song. You all sound great together. Family voices really blend. Thanks for sharing.

Good fun. I liked the stripped clean arrangement. Voice was great. And yes, you were doing it. Always fun to make music with family. Cheers, Dave

Cool version. She sounds good. The cat was enjoying it too I think. Nice bass work, dad!

Thanks guys. The more we play together, the more fun it is. It's the first time I played the bass (on a video); good thing the bass line just repeats over and over. It's as much as I could handle! Those flatwound strings sound great but are slippery.

Yes Brent. After the first cut, we sync in the additional camera angles (I only have one camera). It's a bit tedious but we think it's more interesting looking in the end.

Cool. Had to either be that or tiny elves with GoPros.
It looks and sounds great -- nice job, both of you! |
