Default How many rooms do you have guitars in???

I have a two story house, and normally keep my guitars in the office downstairs. We've had some repair work done in the hall off of that office this week, so I moved my guitars upstairs. I'll be darned if I'm not playing guitar more. It's nice to play a bit before bed.

Maybe I should keep a guitar upstairs and one downstairs! What do you do?

I like to have a guitar around on every floor, upstairs, downstairs, basement. Never know when inspiration will strike.

One in my living room, and the other three usually upstairs in my office/den/man cave/lair/hovel.

I do most of my playing in the living room, but the humidity level in the office is more stable and easier to maintain.

There is a guitar always immediately beside me wherever I sit in my primary house in Canada and my vacation home in SW Florida. One sits beside me on the living room loveseat. Another sits beside me on the loveseat in the basement rec room. Another is on a stand beside the recliner at my vacation home. No question...I play more because of always having one within arm's reach.

Sometimes 1 - guitars are stored in their cases in one room.
Sometimes 2 - some guitars still in cases and one or two are on stands in the living room. This is the most often scenario.
Sometimes 3 - when a guitar playing friend comes over and we have guitars all over the house. And it is a small one story house.

Best,
Jayne

3 - Usually 1 on a stand ready to play in 2 rooms. Plus the rest in a storage room in cases.

It really is the best scenario. Hard to beat great friends hanging out with guitars!

You mean...you mean that it's possible to have rooms in a house that DON'T have guitars in them?!?

No, seriously, I've got most of my instruments in my music room, but there are usually a guitar and mandolin in the living room, as well.

What stands are you guys using with your Martins? I'd like something that doesn't affect the finish.

I keep all my guitars in their cases in my office/music room, except for the one I leave at church. I do practice in other rooms of the house pretty often.
