Default Taylor T5 with 1 3/4" Nut?

I've searched a bit and find no evidence of them. There was a thread here that did come up with a member stating that his former T5 has a 1.75" nut... but again I see no evidence from Taylor. Is anyone aware of a T5 model or run with a wider nut?

Might've been a BTO...

When I purchased my T5 Custom Koa a couple of years ago they all (T5s) had 1.75" nuts and it was my belief they still do. I don't know about the T5Zs. Go to Taylor's web site and find out. They list the specs for all their models.

DenverSteve, you are correct. Your post piqued my curiosity. I went to Taylor's web site and found the T5 nuts are all listed at 1&11/16. I'm wondering when they changed that. I know my T5 was not a custom in terms of specs and it came with a 1&3/4 nut. That's why I like playing it more than other electrics. And I believe (but may be wrong) that that's the way T5s came a couple years and more ago. I believe my T5 also has a longer scale than the 24&7/8" listed. I wonder if Taylor decided to standardize necks between the T5 and T5Z. The T5Z also has (from memory) a 12" radius and the T5 had less...14" if I remember correctly.

When the T5 first hit the market the nut was 1 & 11/16th which is why I didn't buy one. It has always been that, as far as I know. Could it be ordered with a 1 & 3/4 nut? Not sure.

Maybe ordered but no T5's on Taylor's website shows a wider nut. Not from my searching anyway.

I believe I would absolutely have one with 1 3/4" nut. I had a T5 4-5 years ago but sold it as I wasn't doing anything that my Strat couldn't handle. I have been looking for one now with the wider nut.

Old thread but for plugged in acoustic sound it annoys me the least. But the only guitar I own with narrow nut. I would love 1 3/4 but never seen one.

I just sold a T5 from 2006.... I swore it was 1-3/4, but (after measuring it 5X cause I still wasn't a believer) it indeed was 1-11/16.. I'm sure the profile was what made it feel wider
