Thanks for sharing. Being so close is going to be very tempting to spend a weekend at the beach....

Well it would be five long days of driving to get there from Idaho, and I have never heard of this show before. Plus I am out of the wood guitar purchasing mode now, although I do enjoy browsing and test playing.

Folks, I have been to the site and the facebook page, and even went so far as to contact the folks putting this thing on. The short reply was that 'exhibitors are listed on the Facebook page'. Other than a few local luthiers, and one larger company (Breedlove), and a couple of music stores in Tidewater and VA, I really didn't see much. They advertise clinics and guitars, but no market leader presence, and I cannot find any material on any real demos or clinics. I even went to every vendor site listed, and didn't see anything that would make me want to pay the money and drive 4 hours to attend (too bad... I really wanted this to be worth my time and gas).
But unless there's something wonderful that's gonna be there and they aren't telling us, I'm thinking I'll take a powder on this one..... As usual, ymmv. |
