Default As promised, a few pro shots of my Coco twins.

Hi folks.
I had posted a few quick and dirty "shop pics" of my Matching Coco twins a few weeks back. I have since had my good friend and great guitar builder Stephen Ziegefuss come over and shoot some professional pictures for me. If you get a sec, check out Stephens site.
Any ways, here they are.
As always thanks for looking!

A few additional notes
The genesis of this project was the idea of my client Jack. He wanted "matching OM Fingerstylists" As close as possible except for the tops. One was to be Western Red Cedar the other Engelman. I found two sets of Cocobolo that were very close to a match, they are not from the same log, but they are extremely close in density, color and even looks. The headstock overlay are both sliced off the same piece of wood, the bridges are from the same piece and the fretboards are mirror images of them selves, both taken from the same piece. On the insides, I used Adirondack bracing through out, all taken from the same billet. Both are bound in Brazilian with B/koa/B top and side purflings and red heart rosettes with a single Koa purfling line.
In the end we had a pair of guitars that were as close to twins as can be.

I am pleased with the sound a week out, I would love to hear them in a year once they've settled in.

Those are beautiful. Is that madagascar that I see on the fretboard?

Just beautiful. I love the light-colored cocobolla fingerboards.

I know Jack. He asked for a set of baritones - both IE Rosewood, one RWC and the other Carpathian. He's a very nice guy and obviously loves guitars.

As usual, Lance, those are beauties.
What did you think of the sound?
This is about as controlled an experiment as it can get--a good time to form opinions about the tonal differences in top wood.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Steve, there was what you might expect, both are lush with plenty of overtones, the Engelman was a bit more crisp and a little louder, the cedar was warmer and more responsive to a lighter touch.
Id really love to hear them in a year or so, and it would be much better to hear from the owner. I always feel a player can better describe sound than I can
