NUGD Loar LH-319
I just picked this up from a nice gentleman on the Gretsch forum and I'm pleasantly surprised. I've played a few Loars and they can be hit/miss. This one seems like a hit. The neck angle is spot on with plenty of room to adjust the action at the bridge. Being a Waterloo owner, I am in love with the chunky V shaped neck profile and 1 3/4" nut width. The P-90's sound good enough with a good taper on both pots. The Grover tuners are OK, but not great. The only thing I need to deal with is some fret sprout but I enjoy fiddling with my instruments do that's fine by me. The biggest surprised is the solid spruce top. That might cause feedback issues when plugged in at stage volume but most of playing is unplugged on the couch. A very nice, affordable guitar!
