Default Kent Hamblin Custom GC Euro Spruce & Brazilian Guitar

SORRY BUT LOOKS LIKE THE HAMBLIN IS SOLD... CURRENTLY ON HOLD FOR BUYER.

HAMBLIN GUITAR FINAL PRICE REDUCTION.... $3500. THIS GUITAR IS A STEAL AT THIS PRICE. IF IT DOESN’T SELL... WILL JUST KEEP IT.
Buyer to pay shipping and fees

For your consideration, an exceptional custom Grand Concert sized american made guitar. It’s truly beautiful in looks, build and sound! The guitar did have a recent neck injury in shipping and was meticulously repaired by John Bolin of Bolin guitars.
Instead of "dickering" for days, I'll start at my lowest price... $3700, you pay shipping and any fees! Looking for a quick sale and this is a terrific buy!
A terrific price on a custom guitar whose replacement value would be $10,000.
Have many pics, especially of the repaired neck. Email me at [email protected]
Below find a prior description....

Gorgeous guitar with that sparkling "aged Brazilian" tone in a smaller body guitar. I absolutely love this guitar, but as many know, I move in and out of a lot of them and I guess I always will.
I've truly enjoyed playing this one. It currently has a Fossilized Walrus custom Nut and Saddle (included also is the original bone nut and saddle). the guitar has some gorgeous wood, and plays easily. The setup is spot on, and the guitar is in great condition.
The wood is truly gorgeous. The guitar is lightweight and easy to handle, and is truly a treat to play. If you were searching for a refined, versatile guitar with quick response, effortless play-ability and absolutely joyful tone, you have struck gold.
Euro Spruce: European or Silver spruce, the spruce of choice for makers of classical guitars, shares a number of characteristics with popular Engelmann spruce, including color, lightness of weight, harmonic complexity, and fullness at the lower end of the dynamic range. European spruce differs from Engelmann in its potentially quicker response and greater headroom.
Brazilian: For many years the crème de la crème of back and side woods was Brazilian rosewood. Brazilian rosewood: is sought after for its (usually) dark brown color that ranges from chocolate brown, to rust or a warm burnt orange. Finer examples feature fine black line figuring and spider webbing (where the black lines make web-like shapes that cross from one annular ring to another). The tone, some say, is incomparable. Great projection, with strong, balanced bass and highs are its trademarks.
Tone: The tone is simply spectacular. It has that "it" fact that you seldom hear. What "it" you ask?? That mysterious sparkle that comes from special woods. I've truly only hear this a few times and in a few guitars. This guitar isn't booming loud, but it has nice projection and works well for many styles of play. Ideal for fingerstyle, very good strummed.
Specs:

- 1 3/4" Nut
- Body width 15 1/4"
- Body depth 4"
- Brazilian Rosewood back & sides
- Euro Spruce top
- Ebony fingerboard and bridge
- Gold Gotoh 510 tuners with Ebony buttons

- Rosewood reverse headstock veneer
- 1 3/4" nut
- 2 5/16" bridge spacing
- Pick-up: K&K Trinity system (Their top of the line system)

Default Year built

The serial number is #0772. So I’m guessing 2007?

Lovely guitar.
Just as an fyi, I conversed with Kent a year plus ago about a different guitar of his, had neck issues. He said, though it may take a while, that he would carve a new neck for $1500. May offer that for this one if interested.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the great info! The work on the repaired neck is beautiful and 1st rate! John bolin does absolutely terrific work. Yet if someone desired a new neck , they’d only be in a custom brazilian guitar for a little over 5000
Sounds like a deal to me. Many thanks, bob

I thought I'd heard he was no longer building? Anyone know?

You are welcome. Depending on various factors a good repair can be stronger than original pre break I am told.

Is the headstock slotted or paddle? Also, any sound clips?

That repair job is spectacular.

Hamblins are really great guitars.

$3500 is what you'd pay for a factory Martin or Taylor. This is a no-brainer.

Glws.

Kent is no longer building, but I don't think that means he can't get a neck completed if need be. I'm not speaking for him, but just because he's not building anymore doesn't mean he couldn't swing the neck.

Default COUPLE MORE PICTURES

Thought I'd a few more pics and got a question on the guitar.
It is a 14 fret guitar and the scale length is 25 1/2 inches.
