Looking for a 1937 Gibson archtop pickguard
I am finding my hunt for a pickguard for my 1937 Gibson L-30 archtop a bit difficult. It came without one and so I can't measure/trace to make or get one made. I do have the bracket. I like the look of the tortoise shell but black would be OK. I'm not looking for a vintage replacement but would like to get something on there. Any help is appreciated.

The L-30 was based on a L-00 body with an archtop added to my knowledge.
An L-00 is 14.75" wide. Blow up a pic to that size or whatever width your guitar is, then trace or copy the pickguard so you have a template or just copy it free hand. Good pic here. https://www.folkwaymusic.com/museum/...ibson-l30-0518 I'm interested in building a copy if you could measure the total height of the top for me? Would it be about 1 " from the sides to the highest point? |

Try these guys. the site says they can custom make pick guards if they dont have one that works. https://www.archtop.com/ac_access.html

Thanks for the great advice. I didn't think of enlarging a photo. I will look at doing that. I will also check out the provided link to see if just getting it done is worth paying the extra. I like that too.
