Things are moving fast. After only a week or so:

• We have 54 members and 39 scheduled events.
  
• We've been offered venues in SF and Sausalito.
  
• We're planning a series of Luthier Showcases.
  
• We plan to invite touring performers to drop by.

We've been to the nearby Bangkok Thai Cuisine several times for dinner before the show (1459 University Ave.; http://www.bangkokthaicuisine.com). We particularly like the Grapefruit Salad: Fresh grapefruit, prawns, onion, cilantro, ginger, cashew nuts, and chili with limejuice dressing. Also note that the Monkey House doesn't sell beverages, but is happy to have folks bring in their own.

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (sfcm.edu) has updated their performance calendar. I have listed the guitar and guitar/voice recitals on our own calendar (http://www.meetup.com/SF-Bay-Area-Ac...Guitar-Society). If you like classical guitar, be sure to check this out.

More events (eg, master classes, other instruments) will be posted on SFCM's calendar as we get closer to their academic year. Better yet, most of the events are free!
