Very unique--I like it! Looking forward to seeing it all come together.

Well this has been a really slow process, and to slow it down even more, I just sold my house and had to move. Anyways, I got the cocobolo and cedar body together including my first rib bevel! Working on the neck now.

What does the guitar world think of this cutaway now that is coming together?

Also per the new rules, I'm a hobbyist builder, I don't build to sell and make no money off of guitars. I'm sharing this simply because I know how much I enjoy other posts, and hoping maybe somebody finds the same enjoyment from these pictures.

You're work looks really nice and this seems to be coming along very well. Looking forward to further progress. I really like the bevel. As far as the cutout, I don't dislike it but it doesn't really grab me either. I certainly wouldn't rule the guitar out because of the cutout shape. Just my opinion, as you asked. Keep updating this.

This is looking great--very nice lines, and I dig the cutaway.

Nice work!

Aesthetically you've managed to pull all the elements together in a way that feels unified and organic. Looking forward to seeing the finished guitar.

Same! It's simple but very elegant. I used to be in the camp that said if it didn't have some sort of figure, it didn't look nice. Now I see some builders and customers posting pictures of MadRose or BRW to help pick one and I always lean towards to plain, quartered with straight grain. Visually "boring", but to me, it has an elegance that no figure can reproduce.
