They show up in classifieds fairly often.

you might try connecting with the Lowden listserve on yahoogroups. There are almost always members with something for sale.

You may have good reason to want spruce, but it shouldn't be because you've heard negative things about cedar. Lowden have been doing incredible things with cedar for a long time and it's just a vicious rumour that cedar doesn't stand the test of time.
I had a mahogany cedar O size that was 30 years old and still going great. Only sold because I had to raise some quick cash.

Default O32 in California

There's a very nice sitka/rosewood O model at Mighty Fine Guitars in Lafaytette, California, a great shop run by Stevie Coyle, a member here on the forum. I've played it and it has the classic Lowden tone. Very well priced too.

Hi

Thanks for all the feedback. I have nothing against cedar, I play quite a bit of precussion on the guitar and cedar is a softer wood so won't stand as much battering

Put a "WTB" (Want To Buy) in the classified section and you might get some hits.

I believe you need to be a charter member to post in the Classifieds. It's like $15/yr. which reminds me that I should become one myself
