Default David "Honeyboy" Edwards Edwards Instr video - anyone familiar with it?

Just curious if anyone has tried the David Honeyboy Edwards Delta Blues instructional video, and if so, what did you think?

I can't say anything about the dvd
BUT
I've seen him live twice, and plan to see him again in 2010 when he comes back to NY

He's great, and is 1 of the last TRUE DELTA BLUES players left.
He still tours even though he's past 90yrs old
He's a living american national treasure and legend!

xodus,

Would love to see him live - and will if he ever gets around these parts (NC)

Tim

PS Nice stable of guitars there. Is the 30 L-0 all mahogany? What does the Kay Kraft Model B look like?

Look on HONEYBOY's website, I know he's touring in 2010 at the age of 94. He's going to be in NY in March.
I've seen him twice, and I've got their early to make sure Im at the front table in the center!
I also saw PINETOP PERKIN's this year, and he's a delta piano legend in
his 90's as well.

As for the L-0 I believe its an ALL mahogany with a nice round neck (not a V-neck), and it has binding on both sides. Its really comfortable to play, and it has a "the gibson" logo on the head.

As for the KAY KRAFT (I was told mine was the Model B) here's a video of youtube (its not mine....but looks exactly the same)

they are cool guitars, with fantastic indian head decals

Here's a pretty cool YouTube video of him playing. He also talks about how he first got started playing:

BTW -- I like his choice in guitars! That kinda' answers an old question that floated around here on the forum for a while.
