Default Show me your Eastman pickguards

I just received an Eastman E8OM this week, however the Tortoise Shell pick guard was not included in the case as specified on the site. Steps were taken to have one sent from Eastman.

How many of you decided to add the pickguard? Can I see what it looks like? Just by a search it looks like the majority of Eastmans are without pickguard. It was actually hard finding a picture of an OM with a pickguard. And even then I'm not sure whether or not it was aftermarket.

And yes, they do look great without the pickguard, but humor me here - please?

I just bought an E10ss, and the oickguard that came in the case was not my cup of tea. I ordered one from LMII. FYI, GuitarGal in Nashville is also a great source.

Here is the LMII guard in this thread...

Besides not liking Eastman's pick guards, i have no need for pick guards since i never use one (picks). If a pick guard comes on the guitar and looks fine, i'll leave it on. Mr. P i think they (Eastman OM's) look good without one. Also why would i want to hide any of Eastman's beautiful sunbursts!

I'm about to get my fourth pick guard from Taylor Mullins at holterpickguards.com. I've installed at least a dozen tortis guards in the past and they always needed tweaking to fit. Taylor's fit perfectly and IMO look much better.

This is the one on my Eastman E40D:

gmax 150,

That pick guard looks beautiful on your E40 OM.

Nice but I can't find a holterpickguards.com. Do you have a link? BTW, they look rather thick. Are they heavier than the typical pickguard?

I saw your YouTube vid yesterday with the Eastman. I thought at first that it was a J45 but, and this is a tribute to you recording equipment, it sounded too Martin like. Then I noticed the square edge on the label and could just make out the "E". I've considered these ss Eastmans but the narrower nut has put me off. The pickguard is a great choice, suits the G style look.

my pickguards on an E60M and an E6D - poor quality from phone!!

I went with a VERY thin, clear pickguard for my E8OM - I think you can understand why.

Not sure what they're like now but when I got mine a few years ago it was a cheap, thin, non-beveled job that didn't do the guitar justice. I sent it to Taylor Mullins as Gmax suggested. He made one the exact same shape/size but with better materials and put a nice bevel on it. I currently have him making one to replace the pixelated guard on a 00-18v I recently bought. He is very good at what he does.
