Looks sophisticated, nice hue. Not easy to do with green.
Wish they had some to try around my woods.
I would order that color.

Ah, yes: carbon fibre. I see that now. Thank you for the correction.

Yes, should have mentioned that at the start...this is a carbon fiber guitar, not a splinter of wood in it. The unusual thing about Emerald's builds is they can customize neck dimensions and scale length - both usually a fixed item in carbon (and most wood) guitars. Adds a bit to the cost, but having a guitar's dimensions be perfect for one's playing preferences is pretty cool!

You know I normally really hate gold hardware, but in this case the gold looks quite stunning against the green.

If I ever order an Artisan level instrument I'm going to get Amber.

Nice ! Congratulations !
I've got a stock X7 I bought second hand that looks very similar , (the diagonal weave runs the opposite way on mine) , most of the time, without a really strong light, it just looks black.
Very cool little geetars , enjoy !

BTW, Martin monel mediums sound great and look superb with the stainless frets, although you may want to change your flashy gold hardware to avoid a clash .

Congrats on a great X7! I ordered my X20 without the 24.9" scale length and 12 fret neck I prefer. I plan to order one "my" way soon and then mine will be for sale. Same green, it is really nice. Enjoy.

Envy is a sin, I shall repent.....................one day!

You have given me GAS, real bad, norty boy! I may just have to look for a 12 string version and then find some way to justify the cost. Then, rob a bank!

Enjoy your new best friend!

Hey Fazool, I think you would like it!

I think it sounds best of all my carbon guitars. I have a Blackbird Lucky 13, which I love - closest to wood tone (Gibson-esque), and a Rainsong parlor, which has a unique, treble-heavy glassy tone that isn't as much wood-like (but which I love!). The X7 is different than wood, but in a cool way...unique but very agreeable tone.

Methos, it will be worth the wait. I waited 7 months for mine, but the wait was quickly forgotten. Got to love the ability to customize these!

Funny, I didn't think I'd like the non-wood look, but fell for it. Has its own beauty and design aesthetic.

Maybe that's where the Irish team got their ideas!

Thanks Dan! I have to credit AGF - didn't know carbon fiber guitars existed till reading about 'em here, and learned about Emerald (and Blackbird, and Rainsong) here as well. My guitar life is enriched for it (though my bank isn't...)

Thanks tippy! I know about not having options to try before buy...Wisconsin isn't the same as the Bay Area or NYC for finding live specimens. Gots to take our chances...

Thanks Tom! Liking it more than I expected (and I hoped to love it). I was beginning to suffer "woodie envy" while waiting for this one, but am happy with the end result.

Fantastic!
It seems very difficult to find a pre-owned X7.
But I want one!
