I'm in Canada, so I have to play it standing on my head while drinking maple syrup through a straw. As is tradition.

Either maple syrup or Labatts Blue. Both should work, eh?

My X20-12 is a little quieter than my other CF guitars, still with a very nice tone. Jet lag is a clue. Your impression may also have been at least partially ear fatigue. I know that I need the TV at a lower level first thing in the mornings than at night, when my ear has been exposed to noises all day.

Just to clarify, I didn't have jet lag. I was implying perhaps the guitar did. Quite the time difference from Ireland.

It could have been any combination of things, perhaps even as simple as me getting accustomed to the guitar. It certainly does seem more responsive now.

This is just stunning. I have a question, did you pay in advance for the guitar or place a deposit for the build? I'm looking to order an X7 in the woody blue myself and didn't see anything on Emerald's website re: when payment is made.

So jealous of you! I hope to join the Emerald club in five or six months too.

That's a beautiful specimen you have there. All your pics are posted backwards though.

For the record, that isn't wood ON the top, it is wood IN the top. How did I miss seeing this one when this thread was fresh? Beautiful guitar!

Half to start the build and remaining half when it's finished. Unless they changed their policy recently.

My word. Very beautiful. What wood is that? Quilted maple?

I can confirm that this is still Emeralds's current policy.
