Why did Journey Change the sound hole location of the OF 660
I am looking at a used OF 660. I noticed that the new ones have the hole moved towards the top of the body. Does anyone know the reason they moved it? Better sound? Structural integrity ? Easier manufacturing?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and just say ....McPherson... or a different sound they like a bit better

Thanks - have you played both - is there a difference in sound projection?
I noticed on the website they have pictures of both. The guitar I am looking at used to be orange and they painted it a different color. Do we think that the extra coat of paint and clear coat might mute the sound somewhat? I guess I could remove the paint and just clear coat it. |

Word around town is....The new location of said sound hole adds a wee more brightness.
