Default Kevin Michael Clinic after NAMM

Hey Guys! So I played the Sable all weekend long and did a clinic with the guitar at Westwood Music for NAMM week. The guitar is top notch!! Huge sound unplugged... I have a Camrielle as well, and the feel is similar given that the same luthiers building the wooden instruments are hand sanding the necks and heels of the guitar. As well as as spending lots of time hand filing the frets. The binding is a new web technology under the top of the guitar that creates the maximum amount of resonance. The design is McPherson all the way. Cantilever neck, off set McPherson soundhole, and that signature McPherson growl. I HIGHLY recommend putting this guitar in your hands. You will not be left wanting or needing anything else.

Default Kevin Michael Sable vs. Touring

Hi John,

You're an amazing player! I live in Prescott, AZ, and humidifying my guitars is an obsession, so carbon is clearly the answer. But I've tried all the usual suspects and was never happy with the tone and/or the neck. The KM line looks to be a different animal altogether. However, it's a two-hour drive to Phoenix where I can try the Touring—hoping to do so in the next couple of weeks—and no one has a Sable yet. Can you compare the tone/playability of the two instruments? Also, I'm 6'1" and am a little nervous about the size/scale of the Touring.

Thanks for whatever guidance you can offer...

Best,
Roger

I was not aware of Cave Creek guitars. I'll have to make a side trip there during our next visit of elderly parents in Sun City. Normally I get to Sam Ash, and sometimes to Acoustic Vibes over in Scottsdale. I've played exactly one McPherson in wood, and have never seen their CF offerings in person.

I believe Rainsong has done this for years... but only one ply at the perimeter.
