Default Ragtime, Zoom and "hand me down" Beats.....

I've found temporary nirvana....

Learning some ragtime, learning to use the Zoom (finally no "air" in the recordings) and the Beats headphones that we gave my son where were replaced recently with the wireless version has found its way back to me (well, I did pay for it, lol). Now I can actually monitor my recordings too ( I'm not sure why as I can just listen to my playing, lol). I need a longer cord for the Beats though. It is nice to be able to listen to the recording first though before uploading to my pc.

Here's 1/2 of the tune Ragtime Ramble that has a couple days of practice in. Long way to go to full speed though. Tons of fun. It's from Richard Saslow's "The New Art of Ragtime Guitar." There's a few people playing it on youtube as well as I have discovered.

But here's me on the J-45:

Even at this speed though I muffed a few notes. I'm not going to go any faster until that stuff is gone. New rule implemented in 2018. "Don't hide the muffs by playing softly, play it like you mean it and fix the muffs!"
