Default Loopers

I've had both the Ditto X2 and X4. The X4 I believe does what you want. Sadly mine died in the middle of a performance and the MFG replaced the circuit board under warranty. The looper in my Helix I find easier to use, so I sold the X4. I've thought about getting a looper with more time and better features, and the Pigtronix look nice, small platform and great sounding playback, and can store loops as long as what SD card you put into it. In the past I've had some Boss products, but never liked the sound of what was played back, but as mentioned a huge looper takes up too much floor space for me. EHX has a couple that look nice as well. Not a priority for me right now, but the Pig' is looking to be the best option for me.

Loopy on the iPad or iPhone, plus a footswitch assy, will do it and much more - but it is getting a bit far from simple -

The first gen Digitech JamMan is still out there and can be purchased for $100 or thereabouts. It's a pretty versatile unit and very easy to operate.

Too true , not@ $179.00 , for what is being asked for by the original post .

My first looper was a GNX4 Digitech a killer unit @ $550.00 in mid 2000 ,
flash forward to now and a similar but not quite the same unit cost me the
exact same even though it's list price is $799.00 .

You can't get a new GNX4 , they are out of production .

What is wanted by Reggiedadog can be had in the T.C. Helicon Voice Live 3 - VL3X .

I have a VL3X , it's a really nice piece of hardware .

More onboard memory and it's got separate USB flash memory slot to allow you to
record what you are looping live or from a previoisly recorded backing track you
made with it or from your computer that you loaded to a looptrack .

Thanks all

I would love a Voicelive 3 but don't have the $(or £s) just now as I have just ordered an Atkin! First world problems eh? It looks like an amazing bit of kit though. Also I am a little hesitant to get another TC product at the moment after my experience with the Ditto x2.

Im thinking my best solution, until the looper industry catches up with demand, is buy a RC30 and footswitch. I can ignore the fx and record percussion onto track one, use footswitch to switch tracks and record a riff onto track two. Dont like the fact that Ive not got a quick stop all function but whaddaya gonna do?

Actually after looking at the voicelive 3 (with the switch 6 system) that might be the way to go, if I cant find a boomerrang pedal.
