Default Goat Whiskey Picks is back with a new Flatpick!

Howdy!! I'm back and I'm introducing a new line of premium flatpicks. I'm really excited about these. This is the first time this material has been used in the guitar pick industry and it's exclusive to us here at Goat Whiskey Picks. I found the compound while researching high density bearing grade polymers and this particular one had some really interesting qualities. The transfer of energy from the pick to the string is instant and the material is self-lubricating. After a few hours of playing the contact edges of the picks will develop a copper colored glaze and the pick becomes extremely fast on the strings. This pick has the least drag on the string of any pick I've played making it extremely fast. It grips extremely well too. Check them out and let me know if you have any questions. They're beveled to order and I only have a few available right now. Different thicknesses available.

Wonder how all the PhD's working on new space age polymers feel about their research ending up as guitar picks.

Well since I have to buy the polymer to make it into picks they're probably pretty cool with it. LOL

I can see the class reunion now.

"I came up with a new polymer for artificial hearts"

"What about you, Hiram?"

"I came up with a pretty good guitar pick"

Yeah but before I started making it into guitar picks, all it was used for was lightweight and heat resistant bearings. At least now Hiram has a cool story to go with it.

One of my cousins was involved in the development of Teflon. He said they had all sorts of exotic ideas about its application for science, military, medical. and industrial use. Turns out, he made a better frying pan.

That's awesome! Let your cousin know that as a fat guy his Teflon frying pan was a massive improvement in my life. LOL

Mick, congrats on your new flatpick line. I know you've been excited about these for a while now, and glad to see you finally bring them to market. I am proud of you, Weedhopper.

I'm certain these will be a hit for you.

Folks, give my buddy Mick some support on these. He has a great return policy, but you won't want to return these. Mick is an excellent acoustic player (much better than me) and his standards for picks is very high. Like me, he would not bring these to market unless he would be proud to play these in the recording studio or in live performance. Give him a go.

It's exciting to see another company born on AGF, as we were several years earlier. Mick is a very good guy, and if you press him hard enough he'll send you a pint of Kentucky's finest moonshine with the pick, free shipping included.

Again, congrats, Mick. I'm truly excited about the future of your company.

I think that would be more properly Tennessee's finest, or maybe Virginia since Bristol straddles the state line.

When I was a kid, a popular souvenir from Bristol was a picture taken while standing on the state line. Half the picture was color and half was black and white.

Thanks Scott! I really appreciate all the support and help you've given me with this.

Folks there wouldn't be a Goat Whiskey Picks if not for the encouragement and threats of physical harm by Scott Memmer. I talked to him when I was developing my prototype thumbpick to help me with an issue I was having with my right hand. Scott saw my design and pestered the crap out of me until I went into business. He also encouraged me to start persueing the flatpick business.

All this and he still don't know the best sippin' whiskey comes from Tennessee.... LOL

HHP & Mick:

Dang, I missed it. I thought for sure you were from Kentucky, aren't you?

Anyway, gents, I'm a lightweight Californian and anything stronger than sparkling water affects my delicate system.

Carry On!

Don't make me fly out there and whoop you boy. LOL

Tennessee born and bred and when I die I'll be dadgum Tennessee dead!

Anyway back to the pick business, the more I play these new picks the more impressed with them I become. Very clear and articulate with nice warmth and with the self lubrication properties they are as fast off the strings as polished acrylic.
