Default NGD - Emerald Amicus 12-string

https://soundcloud.com/mike-kelly-4/...-maiden-voyage

I received my Emerald Amicus 12 today. What a fun little guitar! I laid down a quick, one-minute improvised track that I wanted to share with my AGF friends so that you can here how this little guy sounds. Cheers!

Mike

Perfect song for such an instrument Mike. That sounds amazing and I know that you will really enjoy making sounds with that. I love that is basically sounds like a mando but you play it like a guitar. Is that true- and in the key of D?

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice, perfect instrument for you. The following song, "Magically Yours" is just wonderful. Steve

The Amicus design to be tuned to D was apparently intentional to be in tune with the universe :-)

Fascinating. It looks like CF Martin helped fund this study, when you see which D note was identified.

"The acoustic atom was able to absorb and emit energy in the form of sound. The tune it played, according to scientists, was a D-note-- approximately a D28, actually, which is about 20 octaves above the highest note on a grand piano."

LOL Mike. I read your comment, took it seriously, then read the article (including clicking all external links within the link). Saw nothing about C.F. Martin, came away scratching my head wondering where you got that from! I then went on to re-read your comment. Now I've learned a new lesson in humor and satire. I was already wondering why Martin would "geek out" in such a way. Hope you are still enjoying your L13 Mike.
