Whispering Echoes IV and V
Hello everyone,
I'd like to share a couple of recordings that I've recently posted on YouTube. My "Whispering Echoes" suite is made of pieces which are harmonically and structurally simple. Incidentally parts IV and V were written in just a couple of hours each. I often describe this series as my "new age" outlet, using plenty of delay... For part IV, I used my maple SJ in standard tuning. My intent here was to leave a lot of space between phrases and come up with a subtle progression all along. It's nothing special but I really enjoyed coming up with this piece. https://youtu.be/jDkZ1GoXuOY Part V is much darker so I've decided to go with my BRW SJ. Tuning is DGDF#AD. At first I had ambitious plans for this theme but decided to do a quick recording under the "Whispering Echoes" suite. Several parts were improvised on the fly. I've also recycled themes which I had used in parts II and III. Features a new camera angle... https://youtu.be/KH1Hhv_WD-s Thank you for listening. |

Wow Mau!! ...like I posted on FB, your signature style really is enjoyable to listen too throughout the various passages you lead us bro. The maple sure has a lovely tone all it's own and both sounds heavenly. I think the delay & reverb work effectively in these passages, sort of the Pink Floyd of acoustic!
Thank you Pisan for sharing your incredible gift! eric

Mau, it's been a while. A couple of great pieces! I prefer the melody of #IV, it's a little lighter but things really come alive at the 2:50 mark of #V.
As all your pieces, you put so much emotion into your playing. As far as your talent, I'm always left in awe. |

Very moving with a lot of emotion!...IV was sort of soul searching while V reminded me of a journey....
I really enjoyed both..

Amazing stuff Mau! I am with Dru. Although both are top notch, I really dug the melody of #IV. I thought the clean, crisp sound of the maple with the reverb sounded intoxicating! Keep'em coming please!

I have enough material to record a "wet" album. I've also been working on some bluesy tunes which will sound much drier. I'll keep those for my next concept... |

Appreciate your support, Jeremy -- thank you. When I have time, I'd like to shoot "artsy" videos to accompany my music. That would be a good excuse to upgrade my camera...
