Default Pandora Folk channels

Hey all,

I am lucky that I have a job where I can listen to internet radio/music throughout the day.

I have been a longtime (free) Pandora user, but I just noticed a couple days ago that they have a "Folk" station and a number of very good subchannels: singer/songwriter essentials, indie artists, contemporary artists... Very acoustic heavy playlists.

Anyways, they are all really quite good.. lots of live versions and rare stuff by artists that many of us would appreciate. Thought some of you might enjoy.

Ben

Coffee House on Sirius. Has anyone found a station better that this?

Thanks for the tip.

I typed in "Norman Blake" with very gratifying results.

+1 for Coffee House.

I have two cars with XM Sirius. I listen to three stations most of the time. Coffee House is on 70% of the time. The rest of the time is shared between Classic Vinyl and The Bridge. I find that if I don't like what is on one of these stations, I switch over to one of the other two and I don't need to seach any further to find something I like. My daughter drives one of the cars most of the time and she has her favorite stations programed and I'm fine with that as long as my three stations stay programed were I can find them.

I used to love that station when we had it via directv, but then they switch to some other company for their music channels and their version of "coffee house" is just awful.

I'd say the Pandora "singer songwriter essentials" one I mentioned is pretty close to the XM coffee. I guess I never noticed these channels before it before because they were buried in the Folk category, and I don't really love traditional folk music... at least my definition of traditional Folk.
