Here's my version of Dylan's 'Things Have Changed', done live at my open mic this past week.

I dig it Mike B - nice job.

Gotta love 2000's Dylan - he's so often forgotten in covers - Which I suppose makes sense, it's a whole lot more difficult to cover that era of his music than early-mid 1960's that is more accessible to anyone who can play acoustic.

Last time I was in the studio, I did Workingman's Blues and Thunder on the Mountain. I'll search around for those takes!

Okay, I haven't heard any of you tackle this one, so I'll play along.

I arranged this fingerstyle version after seeing the chords printed somewhere.

Hope you like 'em!

These are both so good! Such cool playing and singing.

In particular on "I want you" your voice sounds so rich and deep. I've been told recently to avoid the bassiness in my voice, so end up trying to sing songs in a higher register all the time. But what you are doing here sounds brilliant.

Default Blowin' In The Wind

I love the protest theme in this song, and I've been working on it - guess I'd best get it in before the end of the month

Great job on all the other offerings in this thread.

Default Acoupla Covers of Songs that Dylan Covered

2 quick and dirty recordings. June is going fast and there's never enough time for music! Dylan covers were a showcase option. Am making no attempt to sound like Dylan’s versions of these songs.

KEY TO THE HIGHWAY: https://soundcloud.com/vern-equinox/...-highway-take1 ~~~ Dylan did this Big Bill Broonzy song in concert in the early-90s. I picked this one up in “The Songs He Didn’t Write: Dylan Under the Influence” by Derek Barker which covers hundreds of covers that Dylan either recorded or played in concert. Not a book for the masses, hey? But if you’re into Dylan you might wanna track down. There were multiple copies available via inter-library loan.

ABRAHAM, MARTIN & JOHN: https://soundcloud.com/vern-equinox/...and-john-take1 ~~~ Dylan covered this song many times while touring in 1980 and 1981. Barker listed this in his book too.

Wow! How super uber cool is that. I'm loving these SOT threads, mainly because they seem to contain more covers of tunes I like to hear. Now I have another reason to love this one in particular. Very happy to be watching, contributing and now receiving from these cool monthly collaborations. THANKS.

Congratulations to Funkmuncha for winning the drawing! And thanks a lot to BoneDigger and Sweetwater for the gift card...

These "Song of the Month" things are pretty good fun!
