NGD:Sorry for this ramble but with your indulgence ..
Today if he was still with us, would have been my Dad's birthday. He passed away 3 years ago and I still miss him like crazy.
He adored music, was a great piano player and ardant lover of classical music. He 'made' me go to piano lessons when i was young as well as taking me to 100's of concerts. He was entirely responsible for my life long love and appreciation of all types of music, and in my opinion he could not have given me a better gift. Of course back then I was an ungrateful little **** who just saw being sent to theory lessons on a Saturday as getting in the way of having fun and anyway I wanted to play the guitar. Anyway to get to the point, 3 years ago a week after my Dad had passed I had tried out a Taylor NS24e in my local guitar shop and just adored it, but at the time I could not afford it. (My daughter had just started University and well that is expensive hehe) The model was discontinued last year and so I had reconciled myself to never owning one. But today on his birthday I came across and bought an end of line discounted one from Taylor UKs stock. I can not describe how happy this has made me, while to others this is probably a cheap guitar, to me it is the most expensive guitar I have ever purchased and I hope to play it to death in honour of my dad Thanks for reading

This is NOT a cheap guitar. It is a special guitar and will always be special to you. I am a fellow Dad also and I know that my sons will appreciate the gift of music that I have given them in lessons, instruments, encouragement. In fact, I bought them tickets to the Preservation Hall Jazz Band concert tonight.

Sounds "priceless" to me.
Beautiful sentiment. Btw, I don't usually like the rosettes on classical guitars but this one is pretty. |

Fantasic! Those "end of line discounted" guitar sales are a great way to get a great guitar at an affordable price. That guitar will always be tied to your father so make sure it's a keeper. Enjoy!
