Default Scale Charts

Malcom's charts for learning scale patterns are good starters. Here is the link that was posted above:

Planting is important too. It helps build finger independence. Get the book "Pumping Nylon." There is a version that comes in tab and I think with a DVD also. Its geared towards classical, but the stuff in the book is good. Just remember that your guitar heros have been playing for a really long time, especially Tommy. Their styles are from a lifetime of experience, not something that can be learned from books.
