Why Didn't I do This Sooner!
I'm sure this is old news for those who have been enjoying the benefits of having a CF guitar. Today it is 85% humidity and I don't care! Outside playing my first CF guitar and loving it. No worries, no nagging thoughts in the back of my mind saying " is this gonna be ok for my guitar?" Guitar sounds great, no stuffed with socks sounds I have had before in high humidity.
Anyway, thanks to everyone here for helping me discover the joys of CF guitars.

Yes. I love it. Plugging in, out by the pool. Serenading the neighbors....not being able to breath with my allergies. Hee hee.

Sitting in the cockpit of my boat on the Chesapeake, plugged in to a Roland AC33 powered by batteries , water is covered with pollen, and I don't care. Life is good.

I agree CF is great for outdoors but, I think we really over baby our wood instruments. They are pretty tuff really, I don't hesitate to take them out as well. Maybe not in the rain! Lol

I agree that sometimes we are unnecessarily prone to err on the side of caution when it comes to our wood guitars, but seeing as I live on a boat my conditions are not ideal most of the time. My wood guitars spend most of their time in a case with humidipacks . The CF guitar gives me a new found freedom. And I can play in the rain lol.

For most of us here, guitars are a real big part of our lives. It is liberating to not be concerned about them without sacificing anything. I can only imagine that it must be particularly so for someone such as yourself who lives on a boat. Enjoy your new-found freedom! Now...what to do with those wood guitars relegated to their cases! More CF offerings await! I see a woody-topped Emerald in your future.

I agree. The places I took my Martin in the day. But she seems so fragile now. Especially compared to the seeming bullet proof nature of my CA.

"I see a woody-topped Emerald in your future."
No doubt. I have been enviously following all the threads on the Emeralds and how stunningly beautiful some of the wood veneer tops are. And from what I've read, they sound as good as they look! Now that I have CF guitar to play, I think I might just be able to be patient enough to wait for a custom build.
