Default Money no object, what would you choose.

Mine would be Hauser 1 closely followed by Robert Bouchet.

Of living makers Jose Romanillos i cant think of another that really jumps out.

I'd probably have Mr Cervantes build me one of his master grade guitars in Mahogany from The Tree and Cedar in a Rodriguez (52/650) with a cutaway and a sound port.

That ought to about do it....

If money were no object.... I would select ten of the worlds top luthiers, and make them fight to the death, naked, in a ring of fire. The winner would get to make me guitar. Naw, seriously, if money were no object.... I would have to buy a new house or 5 to hold all of my new guitars, . Original torres, church door rodriguez, original hauser. I don't know what I would do. If I could only pick one, I think I would spend the rest of my life demoing guitars, not able to make up my mind, until I slowly descended into madness. I would be the first man to die of a bad case of GAS.

Probably this one. I've played it and fits my ears and hands as well as I could hope (so far...)

Though, honestly, the one I have brings me sustained joy every time I play it. See signature. It's a real gem.

Tough question...For the makers no longer with us... perhaps:

Simplicio double hole
A genuine Santos Hernandez.... not one of the 1000 of 100 he made, but one of the one hundred he actually made
Jose Pernas scroll head
Stradivarius
Maccaferri/Selmer Concerte with internal deflector
Bouchet

Living Makers:

Dominique Field
Freiderich
Olivier Fanton D'Anton

I'd order a matched pair of Rod Schenk Insignia guitars, FE Grand Fingerstyles, a six and a 12-string. Either BRAZ or Killer Koa.

Or this: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=264910

Whatever I could sell for the highest dollar so I could pay off my mortgage and buy a J-45.

I guess estaban guitars are living proof that when manufacturing guitars, marketing is more important than quality, seeing as these guitars are everywhere and obviously sell well. (kinda repeating someone else from another thread on delcamp, just to give credit where it is due). My neighbor has an estaban steel string. He said it came with a dvd, instructing how to play classical-ish nylon string guitar. ? He was like "I don't like that spanish stuff", .
