For Sale: R Taylor Style 2 - Madagascar Rosewood - SOLD

This guitar was originally built by the well-known Taylor Luthier Tim Luranc and was his personal guitar for nearly a year. It was sold to a guitar dealer and was his personal guitar for many years before I bought it. It was meticulously humidified and cared for. Has high end straplocks installed which I will include with the guitar, as well as the originals. The previous owner had a straplock pin drilled near the other endpin as he did not like using the endpin jack for straps. It is in nearly spotless condition, after searching the guitar the only ding I could find was a tiny one near the clear pick guard, about the size of a grain of sand. Action is wonderful for finger-style and some strumming, new set of Elixir PBs put on recently.

The combination of Western Red Cedar and stunning Madagascar Rosewood make this beauty sing. Madagascar rosewood has not been available through the Taylor custom shop for a few years, and when it was it had a significant upcharge.

A few stunning upgrades on this guitar:
- Madagascar Rosewood ($1000 in 2009, priceless now)
- Slotted headstock (a $500 upcharge)
- ESNC electronics ($400, the ES system without drilled in controls).
- Camel Bone bridge pins.

You don't see Style 2's come up often (Grand Concert Size), especially with this wood combo. Feel free to ask any questions.

Any marks on it (such as dings, scratches, bumps, anything else of note)?

What version of the ES system? I'm presuming ES 1.2 and not the later 1.3.

Thanks for asking - cosmetically it is nearly spotless, I was told Tim at Taylor had done an invisible fill on some smaller dings at one point. The only thing I could see on the whole body is a tiny ding (about the size of a medium grain of sand) near the clear pick guard.

I'm guessing ES 1.2, it has the 9 volt battery.

I've listed over and over and over that this exact configuration is my all-time ultimate dream guitar. Slot head cedar-over-rosewood style 2 R. Taylor.

I've convinced myself to stave off GAS and stop hoping to find one of these.

I'm not in any position today to drop $3K on another guitar , so this is killin' me
