Again, you are absolutely correct and I think everyone here knows that. Folks are just trying to provide you with the biggest improvements for the lowest cost. That's all. No one has skin in this game but you.

Default Studio Pix?

Aloha Maniac,

Could we see those pictures of your studio again? Perhaps with your room treatment in place?

I get confused when I listen to your clips, that's all. Maybe I should swap out my A7x's for a pair of HS8's.

Sorry, but I don't have room for acoustic treatments in my room. My room is loaded with stuff. The blankets and quilts are all I can do. I don't feel the need for anything more. If my test recordings aren't good enough for you, too bad for you. They sound great here.

I'm not sure what they are, but they appear to be the same size as the HS8's.
Which frequencies do blankets mitigate? By how much?

they've got to add some warmth, especially the really thick ones.

What they do is dampen reflections. Stops all the sound waves from bouncing around.

Yep, just the ticket for those cold harsh digital recordings. Who needs a tape machine?

Again to clarify . No blankets will not stop "all the sound waves from bouncing around". They provide no benefit for the mids and lows

They MAY possibly (again depending on the thickness and consistency ) slightly absorb some of mid high and or just the high frequencies . In other words in reality they can only possibly affect a smaller percentage of the total amount of the frequencies that actually that need to be controlled

And even the thin silver ones but they are hard to keep on when playing guitar
