Default Great little acoustic amp

Just picked up a Laney A1 acoustic amp. Got it for $340 new. Its an awesome little amp with an 8 inch and tweeter. For the money, its a killer. The tone is plenty good for gigging in gigs up to 50 people. Both channels have XLR and 1/4inch, sweepable mids, active notch, phase, on board awesome effects, and on and on. I highly recommend it as a practice amp, a small gigging set up for mic and guitar with effects on both, a monitor(it has a direct out and effects loop). If you are in the market for a small portable PA or guitar amp, check this out. I am in no way on the payroll of Laney nor a spokesman for them. Just my opinion.

Both channels are identical so either can be the vocal channel. Just last night I had a good opportunity to gig with it. The vocals are very adequate using the eq section, on board effects, and notch/feedback killer. Has phantom power as well on both channels.
The vocal was able to sound clear, warm strong and loud enough to reach out to about 90 people in a club house type setting. It was the only amplification I used last night. I usually use two Shertler Unico amps on poles with a pedal board for guitar and vocals. I would not try to run more than two inputs through this at once or it might get muddy. But last night it was just as good as my Fishman Loudbox 100. I plan to use it through my Fishman SA220 tonight. Will use it as my monitor when I use the Shertlers.

Thanks, I'm interested a practice amp and this is on the list. Did you get the A1 or newer A1+? Any impressions on sound quality at low volume (playing quitely at night with bare fingers slightly amplified and using effects is one of my main initial purposes).
