Wow. Hadn't even heard about his rather recent passing (February 11, 2024). One of the great advocates and practitioners of Folk Music, indeed.
I like to play his compositions Green Green (co-written with Barry McGuire--#14 US Billboard for the New Christy Minstrels, 1963) and This Ol' Riverboat (from the Glenn Ford American Civil War movie Advance To The Rear; Randy Sparks wrote the score for the film, including Today--#17 US Billboard for The New Christy Minstrels, 1964) as solo acoustic instrumentals on a 12-string.

I saw him just a few years back while attending a convention in the West. The younger attendees had no clue how special that concert was.
