I put this among your best.
Thanks Glenn.
Hi Woodbox!

Great to hear from you!!! And thank you for the kind comments!

Regarding my playing with authority, well, I had to practice this song enough so that I really had memorized all the words and guitar parts for the recording so that it was really internalized. My wife always tells me that the ones I have memorized are the ones that come out like they are part of me. I do have to agree with her.

Regarding those long vocal lines -- "... still on the LINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..." yes, those really were the biggest vocal challenge, to stay on that note over such a long line while I am also changing chords repeatedly. Having been a competitive swimmer when I was young, I developed reasonably good lung capacity, which somehow I have managed to hold onto. All that air really does help!

It's great to hear from you; thank you so much for listening and commenting!

- Glenn

Hi Mr. Picky,

Thank you very much! It's wonderful to hear from someone in England on your reaction to a song like this. And, your reactions to other songs I have done! Thank you so much for the kind words!! I will keep working at this as much as I can.

A song that reminds me of my mom... of my parents she is the one who listened to the Beatles, GlenC, CSN...

Beautifully done Glenn. By the way, after his passing, my gigging partner and I played this song a few times at a few different gigs. No one seemed to know or recognize the song. But we knew we wanted to play it anyways. It’s a special song.

Thank you very much for your comments, Sal!

You know, it was also my mother who listened to pop music of the day. She also liked the same singers as your mom. She really liked Glen Campbell and she was particularly drawn to the Jimmy Webb songs, as I was. Yes, this song sure does bring back memories!

Thanks for the kind words, Sal! Glad you like this!
