Default Taylor Nylon Comparison?

I'm wondering if anyone has had the chance to directly compare the NS72ce to the NS74ce.

I bought the 74 this fall and I am head over heels in love with this guitar. In fact, it seems this guitar has ruined me for steel strings. I can't put the 74 down and my new Collings is getting NO playing time.

As much as I love my 74, there is something very appealing to me about the shape of the 72. I love the smoother, smaller upper bout along the cutaway and that leaves me wondering if there is much of a difference sonically.

Edit: I'd also love to hear about experience with an NS62ce too.

If anyone has had a chance to compare these two I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks!
Matt

Thanks Larry!
I just sent you an email. It is the pictures of your beautiful 72 in the classifieds that started all of this! I sure can't think of a brazilian rosewood 72. In fact, I shouldn't be thinking about this at all but your 72 sure is pretty!

Thanks for getting in touch!

Matt

Default Any experience with an NS62ce?

I might have a line on a used NS62ce so if folks have experience with one of those, I'd love to hear about that too. I'm guessing the maple will make it bright and punchy!

That might be a great way to satisfy my love of the shape of the NSX2ce and give me a totally different sound all at a good price.

But I won't be able to play it without having it shipped to me so any info would be wonderful.

Thanks!
Matt

I have always preferred the NS2 over the NS4. They have a sweeter, warmer tone that. I find more appealing. The NS62 is surprisingly warm. Not as warm as the 72 but not as bright as one might expect. What you will notice is more clarity and individual note seperatiom on the 62 over the 72/74. If you happen to like the Taylor NS series, you can't go wrong with a NS52, NS62, or NS72.

The added advantage of the more comfortable gc size is a nice plus.
