Default Apocalypse Now. Chickengeddon.

Shock ! Horror ! KFC has closed branches all over Britain due to a chicken shortage !

Who cares ? Well, I guess the hundreds of people who have called the police, the local town council, or their member of parliament about it.

Words fail me at this point .... Talk about dumb and dumber, I’m surprised they know the number for the police....

How do you run short of chickens? Big jump in egg consumption? Whole country will collapse if it spreads to the Indian take-away segment.

Why don't they substitute, say, cauliflower or cod, instead of chicken? They'd still be KFC.

As long as you have Sunday Roast with Yorkshire Pudding, cockles, and Eton Mess, I suspect you will be able to weather this crisis. Hopefully, anyway!

If the reputation of British cuisine is well-earned, this is a disaster!

Fish and chips?

Mind you they also eat steak and chips, sausages and chips, egg and chips, lamb/pork chops and chips, 'fry up' with chips, salad with chips, pie with chips etc, etc.

Used to get fish and chips at a pub joint in Southie but I got the distinct impression they had little to do with the dish of the same name in Britain.

Whoa there no need to complicate things with all those fancy combinations!

Sometimes it's nice to keep it simple: chips.
