Default Artisan Guitar Show: April 13-15, 2018, Who’s Going?

Hey, I see that the 2nd Artisan Guitar Show was announced. It will be in Harrisburg, PA on April 13th to 15th, 2018.

I attended last year and found it to be a great show. It had a very well organized exhibition floor spacing exhibitors well to allow for decent auditioning acoustics. They also had large, quiet audition rooms adjacent to the main room. At night, the event being in a hotel allows for great socialization, on-site concerts and evening playing as well. Harrisburg is about 1 hour from Baltimore, 2 hours from Philadelphia or Washington DC and 3 hours from New York City or Pittsburgh.

I am planning on attending. Who else is planning on coming?

Thanks for the heads up. That's not far and the first one sounded like a good time. Will put it on the April list.

Default showing up

I'd LIKE to go, enjoyed it last year. However we have a show at my home (www.rockytopcncert.weebly.com) on Friday featuring both Blind Boy Paxton and The Downhill Strugglers and I have no idea when I would be able to shove off. It's too far to go for me for just one day. And it is an outstanding venue.

Default links turned to sausage

Most of those links returned a message saying "page not found". Someone who knows more than me should look into it.

The rockytop link did not work but I found it by a google search. This looks like a nice concert series Bard, worthy of a road trip. Looks like you have a beautiful home.

I'll be there! Last year was a great event, and for me, it's worth the trip again this year just to see one of my earliest and most significant guitar influences...Will Ackerman!

There are a number of concerts that I am looking forward to (including Will). If you haven’t heard of Steve Herberman who is playing before him on Friday night, check him out. He’s a fantastic player!

For those of you staying the night(s), where are you staying? I may book the Best Western but am thinking about the Hotel Hershey as well. It is a short drive but I have heard it is a nice place.

What are folks doing? I can be swayed...

Stay at the hotel where the event is at. Easy to grab your guitar. No need to keep them in your car. It is still cold this time of year. After hours playing and socialization easiest this way. The rate is also quite low.

My $.02
