YouTube Players / Things you want to pick up
We all have a systematic way we find arrangements (unless you have the time to just come up with all new stuff), and mine very often starts with Youtube.
I tend to find an artist that is "attainable" or a song that is just out of reach for my current level of playing. After that I'll either listen until I have a firm grasp and start plinking away or find the tab on songsterr . Anyway... here are 2 of my favorite young acoustic players right now.. what about you? post links Gabriella Quevedo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk9EdFtm4JQ Sungha Jung https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf55edvmPAw And one more from Sungha Jung that is "possible for me " haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EirMd5FIwx8 |

I look for tunes that have a good melody line and good structure, and in some way or another are fun to play. Tunes that mainly rely on guitar centric techniques don't usually interest me.

I'm with YOU bro' My music partner and I do a pretty respectable version of "Tears in Heaven" Great guitar piece which he does well and a great performance song that we enjoy as do those whom we play it for. |

if a song comes along on YT that interests me, I'll watch the video a lot on my phone to get the song into my head.
Then comes significant time playing the video on my home PC monitor where I can see the guitarist fingers better and stop and start the video. I'll work up a rough transcription of the chord progression on paper before I even attempt to try it on the guitar. If I get stumped, I'll do a search to see if there is a transcription available. This also helps to make sure that I am on the right track. My favorites these days are Pete Huttlinger (RIP) and Rolly Brown. Lately, I've been working on Rolly's version of " In the Wee Small Hours" for the past week or two.

I like these two guys. Different styles, different music, keeps me learning and from getting bored from playing the same style all the time.
