Default Automatic Feedback supressor pedal suggestions needed!

Hey guys, I've been using the Zoom A3, and really finding it's auto feedback supression function indispensible when gigging.

However, I have issues with its noise and pre-amp quality (see here) and I'm not using it anymore.
But I need something with that function.

(I know I can do it manually, but I'm spoiled now - and it just works so well on the Zoom)

I've only found these:
  • Fishman Aura Spectrum DI
  • Boss AD3
  • Boss AD8
  • Yamaha AG Stomp

The Fishman is overkill and expensive, if not using the modelling, and the Boss and Yamaha units are too bulky and also has too much stuff I won't use.

Please help if you know of ANY other pedals that have this function!

Bump!

Really need some advice on this. Just played a gig. Managed to tame feedback with the parametric EQ's in my Pod HD500, but it was tricky... Miss the auto function....

Try to find a Shure dfr11. It's their feedback suppression 1/2 rack unit. It builds micro parametric filters so it doesn't take out much. If you have multiple guitars, you can set up scenes for each using a laptop. Their current version is the dfr22, but it's a full rack.

Thanks for the reply!

I'll check it out, but I much prefer a small stomp box than a rack unit...

It seems to be the Fishman Aura Spectrum at this point.

Why doesn't Fishman, Zoom, Boss or TC Electronics / Helicon release a standalone guitar feedback supressor pedal !? It's so handy!

Yeah, I have the Voicelive 2 and planning to get the Voicelive 3 soon - it's supposed to be their flagship, but unlike some lesser of their pedals (like the VoiceCorrect XT) it doesn't have automatic feedback supression for vocal (or guitar of course)

The only thing is...the rack unit has a real-time analyzer built in to it, which you use with a dedicated condenser mike that reads a pink noise generator through the PA to set feedback filters...

I would guess that this one simply applies floating filters to address feedback issues as they arise. The rack unit allows one to assign any of a total of 12 filters to be either floating or specified.

This would beat the heck out of any manual eq system out there, unless you're prepared to be your own sound-man and you have a lot of experience with ringing out a room.

Guys, I think I've found the answer !!!:

Sabine SL820 Solo Automatic Feedback supressor:
Link1
Link2

They seem to be discontinued, but can still be found. Looks like a very high-end well designed unit, that you plug into your signal chain and forget.

8 notch filters automatically managed, and it's nice and small.
