Some advice needed on 2018 SG Standard
Look at these two similar SGs on Reverb.
https://reverb.com/p/gibson-sg-stand...ge-cherry-2018 Both are 2018s. The case interiors are slightly different (?????) but what stands out is the price difference - $900 for one, $1,350 for the other. What do you think accounts for the price difference? I'm very interested in one of them and need to know if I'm missing something.

It looks like one guy thinks his used guitar is worth what he paid for it new, and the other actually looked up the used value.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. Both are beautiful guitars, don't you think?

I wouldn't say no to either one, certainly. Very pretty guitars.

In case you're not aware, the 2018 SG Standard has the '61 pickups, which were new a few years ago. I have them on my SGJ. The 2017 has the '57 Classics, which many think are the best pickups that Gibson makes. Not sure if pickups make a difference for you.
Here's Gibson's writeup on the '61 pickups: http://www.gibson.com/News-Lifestyle...ic-Reborn.aspx |
