I think Christmas might be pushin' this one a little, but I'll lay odds on the fact that I'll be serenading my sweetheart on Valentine's day with it

Oh and by the way, here's the daily update...with the caption "Oh, Look! A Guitar!! :

Here's the "dry shots"

Clean Miters!

Here's the wet ones. Note the subtle figure in the maple around the top.

Default Maple purfling

So the whole idea with the maple purfling is that it will add some flash to the top, like shell would, but with a much more organic look. Its nice and fat, .040", and is very well quartered and curly. You can't really appreciate it in those pictures I took, but it has a ton of movement in it.

Oh man--that BRW is just killer!

And the binding and maple purfling really set everything off just right.

Great stuff, guys!

Thank you! I can't wait to put the epoxy filler on there, and see all the colors bloom.

Well, thanks- I have been putting it off for a long time, but I am planning to become an active AGF guy. It's just too cool a room to not participate. And now Mike is doing my Debutante's Ball....

Thanks to all of you guys for the nice comments, and Ben deserves each and every one of them. I just gotta just say how much I'm enjoying this build. I have been blessed to work with several builders, and have been fortunate to get to know a bunch more. Ben is absolutely one of the nicest and most fun guys I've met to work with, not to mention...he's got game

What a classy performance on this build. The more I see of this guitar, the more I realize that this one will become a permanent part of my ever so small stable. Everything is just SOOO clean and pure!! I would expect Ben to get even busier after this build since we've all seen what he brings to the table.

Great stuff!! Woody gives his full approval!!
