Default Bands you don't like but everyone else does

This has probably been brought up ,I don't know. Had a discussion in work about Bands .Good and bad. What band do you NOT like that everyone else does? The guys I work with aren't musicians ,so I think they have more tolerance to main stream music. ..Anyway the band that I never cared for and ARE great is Chicago, just don't care for them... there are more but ,I thought I'd like to see other opinions. Thanks.

For me, the only band that immediately comes to mind is REO Speedwagon. The tone of the singer’s voice and their general melodies didn’t really appeal to me.

Dave Matthews is fingers on a chalkboard for me.

Chicago, yes.
Steve Miller Band.

I dunno. I mostly like a lot of stuff. Americana, country, metal, reggae, 80's rock and pop, classic jazz, some hip hop and rap, some techno. Probably a lot more. Pretty easy to curate your music these days with tremendous variety. I like my options these days!

Took me exactly 2 seconds...

Lover Boy - abject yawnworthy generica.
Jane's Addiction - singer's sharp pitch is like a piercing, hair-raising dog whistle (only because "fingernails on a chalkboard" was already used).

Rush - I can't get past the singer

If you like the below it’s totally cool, just my opinions here:

The Eagles- hey, the dude abides

Another vote for Dave Matthews… talented but I just can’t … yuck

Creed- ugh, just no

Softcell ((Always something) There to Remind Me), I know that it is a song … but why else would we know the band[emoji1785]. A VISCERAL response if it comes on the radio, I will jump out of a moving car. [emoji23]

I'm from Champaign, so my first concert was actually REO. For me it's the Eagles. I hate the Eagles more than the Eagles hate the Eagles.

Except Soft Cell didn't perform that Burt Bacharach/Hal David song in the 80's. The synthpop band you're think of is Naked Eyes. And yes, that version is awful.

Huey Lewis & the News tops my hate list. Many of those mentioned. The Stones after 1980. Doobies with Michael MacDonald.

All old bands I know, but pop music was a blur after 30.

The Dead, jimmy Buffett, Rush. No disrespect to any one who likes these artists. They had all been successful with loyal fans. Just acts I didn’t enjoy.
