removing an endpin - martin d-16gt
what's the proper/best way to remove an endpin from a martin? I might want to get the Martin Ebony set of bridge pins and end pin for it.
I put the original endpin in myself, sanded it a bit, and pushed it in with my thumb, but it's in there pretty good, definitely is fit in there nice and tight. What should i do to take it out? Note: Thanks to whoever moved this thread for me!

Grip it firmly and twist (either direction) as you pull out ward. It should come out. If not then you can grip it with pliers and twist but the pliers will probably leave teeth marks on the end pin. Or you could buy this tool:

I took a pair of pliers, wrapped the thinnest part of a leather guitar strap around the pin and twisted it out no problem.
