Simply beautiful work Steve! The oak under your scraper is already showing its signs of pulchritude. It is going to be simply stunning under finish..

Kudos

And thank you for dropping by as well, Bob. "Pulchritude", eh? So despite the manliness of Brown Oak, we're agreed this is basically feminine?
These little parlor shapes always struck me that way.
Thanks again mate,

Steve

Ya know, outside of Texas, the Latin adjective pulcher simply means "handsome".... Pulchra would mean "beautiful"

Noun 1. pulchritude - physical beauty (especially of a guitar)
beauty - the qualities that give pleasure to the senses
curvaceousness, shapeliness, voluptuousness - the quality of having a well-rounded body
Based on WordNet 3.0, Farlex clipart collection. © 2003-2012 Princeton University, Farlex Inc.

This garnered from my dictionary app. Granted, I changed the word "woman" to "guitar", trying to keep the PG rating.

This I like very much ... as an avowed traditionalist, especially of the Larson aesthetic, it appeals greatly! I also think Haans would echo these sentiments. Looking forward to the finished instrument ...

And thank you, Maurerfan! One of these days we'll have to try building a parlor with some ladder bracing. And that will truly be a 100-year backward leap.
