Default Isaac Jang build for TAMCO UK

I was going to wait to do this thread until Isaac had started the build around the end of this year but my excitement got the better of me.

It will be an OM in Adirondack and quilted mahogany (is it 'The Tree' or a tree, that is the question).

It will have an Uchida style cutaway, photo borrowed from another thread on Isaac's work.

Trevor--This looks like it'll be a fantastic build!!! There was a wonderful commonality between the two guitars Isaac showed at Memphis, and if this one is anything close (I'm sure it will be) it should be a magnificent instrument. Definitely a build thread to watch! --Richard

The figure looks stronger higher up the on the back, I hope you use the other end. But that's just me...nice looking mahogany regardless as to it's heritage. This will be a great guitar in all ways.

I'm excited to see this coming together. I played Isaac's guitar at the Memphis show and was very impressed with his work. That may be another "tree" but that's some stunning quilted mahogany.

I normally do not like quilted wood, The Tree? Who cares? But this set would not hurt my eyes if I had to see it every day. Can't wait to see it under finish.

"I've thicknessed the top, and started to glue braces on the top.

The neck has been rough cut to profile, and dovetail cut."

Very nice. I have had the pleasure of playing a couple of Isaac's guitars when I was visiting Kathy Wingert's shop a while back. He is a great person and a talented builder. I look forward to following this one to the finish line.

Best,
Jayne
