Thanks, Joel. I'll eventually pick my favourite pieces and record clean audio versions. I'm in no rush though. I much prefer writing music than spending time polishing tracks in the studio...

Here's my latest original which I wrote in the past week or so.
I don't know anyone named Virginia -- but if you do, this one's for you... Thank you for listening. https://youtu.be/2DxoU77abzk |

OMG, Mau.....beautiful!! The melodic development is just superb and takes me on a delightful journey. As always, my ears are surprised with where you travel.....and pleased!!
The new camera angle is very cool.....I like it much better. Thanks for a great start to my Saturday. "Virginia" is a keeper! Regards, Fred

Loved it, very pretty. Sorry you were not able to make it last weekend, would have loved to see some of this genius in person and tap into some of your knowledge.
Thanks for this latest masterpiece. Tom

This recording was my very first take in front of the camera and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you for listening, Mike. Thank you, Dennis. This might be my favourite original in the last year or so. |

I'm barely touching the strings and the Olson is sizzling with overtones. Can't say how much I've been enjoying this guitar as my undisputed #1. Quote:
Thanks for listening, Bill. Love is an inevitable tragedy -- and hope is misleading as always... Last edited by JoeCharter; 06-19-2016 at 09:01 AM. |

Very, very nice...what a guitar that is, and in the hands of a very fine player.
I admit I haven't read through this entire thread, so this question may have already been asked: what equipment are you recording with? Thank you for a lovely Sunday morning listen!

I had an old girlfriend named Virginia, though mostly she was known as Ginny. The song fits very nicely. She's an emergency room medical doctor today. Thanks for sharing that Mau! - Glenn

Thanks so much, Paul. Quote:
As for my recording equipment, honestly I typically buy my gear based on general specs, price, looks and country of origin. Nowadays any decent condenser mic that works for vocals and audio interface will do the job. But in answer to your question, I've got a TLM103 and an old AT3035 connected to an Apogee Duet interface and an old iPad 2. Quote:
When I was in university I was in a band and the other guitar player was known as Ginny. However her formal name wasn't Virginia... Thank you for listening to my latest effort. |
